The TCA Double‑Shaft Mixer (also known as double‑shaft filling mixer) is a mixing equipment specially designed for meat, poultry, seafood and vegetable processing industries. It is widely used for filling mixing of sausages, ham, meatballs, dumplings, wontons and other foods, as well as mixing various porridge‑like or viscous materials. The whole machine is made of food‑grade SUS304 stainless steel. The double‑shaft paddle structure allows the material to undergo radial mixing while completing axial return flow, achieving fast, uniform and dead‑zone‑free mixing results. The equipment is divided into two categories—vacuum type and non‑vacuum type—allowing flexible configuration according to customer process requirements. Through the vacuum device, the vacuum type keeps the material under negative pressure, causing the material to fully expand without air bubbles, resulting in good elasticity, bright color, and maximum protein extraction, making it an ideal equipment for improving product quality. The non‑vacuum type features a simple structure and stable operation, suitable for conventional mixing processes that do not require vacuum extraction. The TCA Double‑Shaft Mixer also features single‑motor dual‑speed, automatic forward/reverse rotation switching, automatic discharge and other functions. It is a core pre‑treatment equipment in production lines for prepared foods, meat products, frozen foods and pet treats.
Working Principle
The TCA Double‑Shaft Mixer operates on the physical mixing principle of double‑shaft paddles. Two parallel mixing shafts rotate in opposite directions at the same speed driven by a geared motor. Each shaft is equipped with fan‑shaped or inclined paddles arranged at specific angles, and the rotation trajectories of the paddles cross and mesh with each other. Under the propulsion of the paddles, the material performs radial circular motion along the inner wall of the trough while simultaneously undergoing axial return flow, forming a compound circulation mixing effect. A zero‑gravity zone is formed in the overlapping area where the two rotors cross. In this zone, the material floats and enters a weightless state, generating convective, diffusive and shear mixing. The material particles undergo both circular motion and axial motion during the mixing process, achieving uniform mixing in an extremely short time. After mixing, through forward/reverse rotation control combined with inclined discharge or automatic tilting discharge (depending on model configuration), the material can be unloaded without manual intervention.
Vacuum Type Additional Principle: A vacuum system is added on the basis of conventional double‑shaft mixing. The vacuum pump extracts air from the sealed mixing trough through pipelines, maintaining a negative pressure of 0.055–0.08MPa inside the trough. Under vacuum, the meat tissue expands, muscle fibers fully relax, contact between marinade and proteins becomes more thorough, air bubbles are effectively removed, and microbial growth is inhibited, extending the product‘s shelf life. Vacuum mixing also prevents product browning caused by oxidation, maintaining the bright color of the meat filling.

Efficient mixing, uniform and no dead corners: The double‑shaft paddles form a zero‑gravity zone in the crossing overlapping area, where the material moves in radial, circumferential and axial directions, creating compound circulation. Each batch is generally mixed uniformly within 30–120 seconds. The clearance between paddles and trough wall is controlled within 3–5mm, ensuring thorough mixing and low residue.
Single motor dual‑speed / frequency control: Driven by a single motor with dual speeds or frequency control, with automatic forward/reverse switching. Speed can be flexibly adjusted according to different materials and process requirements: low speed for gentle mixing to avoid material damage, high speed for fast dispersion and rapid uniform mixing. Frequency control ensures smooth start and reduces mechanical impact, extending equipment life.
